Serenader Motion Lamp (1931) This hard to get lamp was certainly one of Scene in Action's most beautiful pieces. It is a stately 12" long and 11" tall. The front sculpted frame is cast iron and has three beautifully detailed figures in a gondola. When the lamp is on the water gently ripples. This lamp comes with a new replacement animation glass and spinner. It has the original glass scene with a couple of chips at the top edge and it has the original top for the back which is often missing

This lamp is in very good to excellent original condition. The picture glas has a small crack that can not be seen from the front (This is just a clear back pane of glass and can easily be replaced). Indian Chief Gritt Motion Lamp (1920's) (Samuelian Book Pg. 130) This is a 12" tall figural chalk motion lamp with a metal case in the back to house the motion unit and a glass panel to show the fire animation. These lamps were hand painted and are very colorful. This particular example is in very good condition. The chalk figure has some light wear. The back hood looks like an old replacement, I don't think it is original. In any event is covers the back properly and allows tha animation to look good. The original glass, spinner, and bulb clip with the pivot point have been replaced with excellent duplicates. The animation is flames flickering up from the hearth. Works fine.

Hold Blue Merry Lamp (1950's) (Samuelian Book Pg.163) This unusual table motion lamp has a blue and white encased glass shade. The ribbed shape of the glass shade makes the fish on the spinner look like they are swimming as they go by. This is a very difficult lamp to photograph. It looks much better in person. This lamp works and is in good condition except that the spinner is a bit warped, the original metal top was missing and a blue plastic top has been made to replace it, and the original bulb in the base has burnt out. The bulb is still in the base for originality and appearance. The plug is original and does work. However, we suggest that it be changed if you intend to really use the lamp.

Econolite Antique Auto Motion Lamp Round (Copyright 1957) (Samuelian Book Pg.56) This classic motion lamp features the 1914 Stutz Bearcat and 1912 Model T Ford cars. There is a lot of action in this lamp. The wheels turn, road moves back and scenery passes by. All of this makes this lamp one you will watch for hours. This lamp has a perfect spinner. Base has tarnish and rust...if I have a better one I will offer you an upgrade. This lamp works well. The shade has a flat area on each side...the seam and the side opposit of the seam. Rare European Oval Old Mill This is a beautiful lamp. It is in good condition. The unusual chrome platted base is in perfect condition as is the spinner. It still has the european plug but, I have the adaptor so it can be used in the U.S. It also has an on off switch on the line cord. The shade has 4 samll areas of paint wear and one larger area of wear on the mill. Since the shade is printed on the inside as well as the outside, these areas are far less obvious when the lamp is lit. The over all appearance is very nice.

Rare Circus Lamp This is a very rare motion lamp. We have in 20 years of collecting only had 4 of this lamp...it is very hard to find and usually the paint is badly flaked. This one is in fair condition with some paint flaking that has been professionally touched up. This type of touch up is never perfect but does make the lamp look much better both on and off. The spinner and base are in very good condition. You will enjoy the varried animation...dogs jumping through a hoop and water spouting from elephant runks while notes of music flow from clown horns.

Pink Mother Goose (1940’s) (Samuelian Book Pg. 78) This delightful children’s lamp will certainly bring out the child in all of us. This lamp has the pink plastic base and paper shade. You favorite nursery rhyme characters, including Mother Goose herself, the cow jumping over the moon and the cat and the fiddle are decals on a clear plastic spinner; which revolves around a soft pastel scene of a fairy tale castle. (This lamp has the rarer scene with the smiling moon.) The condition on this lamp is very good. The base is perfect with a complete ball on the pull chain. Usually just the top half of the ball for the pull chain is left on these lamps. The paper shade is in very good used condition with one partial tear on a louver. The plastic spinner with the decals is in remarkably good condition. Usually these decales are flaked but, this one isn't.

Goodman Forest Fire Motion Lamp (Reverse Printed) This lamp has great original colors and wonderful animation due to a superior inner two color cylinder. The shade is pefrectly round and printed on the inside or "Reverse printed". There are two small areas where the printing has deteriorated slightly. This does not show at all when the lamp is off but, does show when the lamp it lit. It is common in reverse printed Goodman shades. The cylinder is in good condition with two small cracks at the base and some wear and new fin assembly. It works perfectly. The base is perfect.

Goodman Forest Fire Motion Lamp (printed on outter surface) This lamp is all original and the image is printed on the outter surface of the shade. The animation is very good. Both shade and cylinder are perfectly round. The shade does have some color wear and scratches which is common for the shades with the printing on the outter surface. Hold Flying Geese Rare multi pleated shade (Copyright 1957) (Samuelian Book Pg. 101) This is a beautiful example of a Goodman's distortion animation lamp. Here the outer shade has silhouettes of trees printed on it and inside there is a pleated translucent plastic shell. As the geese on the spinner go around they appear to fly as they go by each pleat. This lamp is the rare version with twice as many pleats and stands on a pedestal or tripod base. This lamp is in very good condition and works fine. The spinner is perfect, and the shade is excellent with some dirt at the seam (I think it is the original glue that has yellowed. Also the cardboard inside bottom edge has a piece missing and some cracks. But the shade is sturdy and the lamp looks and works great.

Here the outer shade has a black and tan silhouette of trees printed on it and inside there is a pleated translucent plastic shell. As the geese on the spinner go around they appear to fly as they go by each pleat. This lamp is in good condition and works fine. The base has light wear, the spinner plastic is perfect pleats have been repaired. The outer shade is perfect, but the pleated inner shell has a flate spot. This can be turned to the rear.

Bears on Bicycles Motion Lamp(1957) (Samuelian Book Pg. 106) While unmarked, this rare lamp has all the characteristics of a Lacolite lamp. The windows on the shade have a dotted pattern that creates unusual distortion animation as the bears go by. This lamp is in fair condition. The outer shade has flaking and has been touched up in some of the white areas. The outer shade also has a 1" crack at the bottom edge that has been repaired. The base is perfect and the spinner has some light scratches. This lamp works and has a modernistic look to the animation. This and Fish in the Widows are the only motion lamps we have found with this type of animation.

Fish in the Windows Motion Lamp (1957)(Samuelian Book Pg. 105) While unmarked, this rare lamp has all the characteristics of a Lacolite lamp. The oval windows on the shade have a dotted pattern that creates an unusual distortion animation as the fish go by. This lamp is in excellent condition. The base and spinner are perfect. There are just the usual light scratches on the spinner. This lamp works great having a very modernistic look to the animation. Naturally, the water flows down the falls and down stream. It has a black metal base. Condition is very good. It is very rare to find this lamp in such good shape (usually they have flaked). This the the best one I have ever seen. This one has a minor flat spot at the seam and a scratch.

Sold1992 Retired Daisy Kingdom Cowboy Santa Mini Tree Spin Shades Never opened and mint in the package! This is the lovely and colorful Cowboy Santa Christmas tree spin shades produced in the mid nineties by the Daisy Kingdom Company. They actually used an old Econolite Tree in patterning the style. These work great and look great in your Christmas display. The box containd 2 shades and two wire clips with points (for the shade to spin on) that sit on the small christmas light bulbs and two top stars. The shades are nearly 5 inches tall. The company has been out of business for years and these are definitely collectible. Six different themes were originally produced and are described in our book “Collector’s Guide To Motion Lamps” on page 183.

Sold Econonlite Red 10" Christmas Tree in origial Box This is a beautiful red paper tree motion lamp made by Econolite. The tree itself spins from the heat generated by the light bulb. Note that this piece has the original red bulb and the origial box. This lamp is in good working condition. Color is excellent. The top of the tree was badly damaged so it has been professionally repaired. The top was removed and a new gold cone top has been added. There are still some light crinkels in the paper near the top edge. The over all look is very nice and the lamp works well.

UNIQUE ICART "YACHTING" OVAL MOTION LAMP The same size as an oval original Econolite lamp, this was made in 1993 using an Econolite base and cylinder. The shade was hand made by Anna Samuelian and is signed on rear as a Christmas gift to Sam Samuelian in 1994. This one of a kind lamp is pictured in our book. When operating, the effect is one of water moving and shadows on the boat. Her first effort in making a lamp, this was not totally successful in achieving realistic animation, but the Icart scene is attractive and it works well. In good condition.

1940's Carousel Lamp for Children Rare lamp with very delicate paper revolving figures, paper shade, and paper insert scene. Three kids on horses pass by and are seen through the window opening. Foreign Scenic Motion Lamp Birds and sailboats pass by and water ripples on this rare foreign lamp, probably from Europe and made in the seventies. Colorful shade has silhouette people sitting on bench. We have never seen this operate, since it takes a bulb we don't have. The bulb could be adapted for another size. 2005 Hand Made Aluminum Cat Shade Motion lamp by Anna-Made-it This is a lovely Aluminum shade hand made by Anna. There is a clip that fits on your light bulb abd the shade sits on it. When the bulb heats up the air inside the shade, the shade starts to slowly spin...casting shadows on near-by walls. These shade are made opne at a time by hand. You can order a design you want. The shade measures about 6" tall and 9" wide at the bottom. Each shade is signed and dated and comes with a certificate of authenticity. Rare Pink Silk Skiers Lamp "AS IS" This is a very rare and unusual motion lamp. It is the exact lamp pictured in "Collector's Guide to Motion Lamps" and comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by the author /photographer. The spinner is hand painted water color scene of snow skiers. This is the only motion lamp I know of that has snow skiers on it. This is a Japanese silk motion lamp from the 1940's-50's. It is in fair condition with a few pin holes in the silk and top of the paper spinner. There is one decorative paper trim missing and some general wear and repairers at seams where the silk is pulled away. This motion lamp looks good and did work. But the light bulb broke and is unusual. I have not been able to replace it so I am selling this lamp As IS.

Genesee Cream Ale Motion Lamp As pictured on page 199 top of our book, this is the actual lamp used to photograph. In excellent condition (and still shiny) with the exception of some graphic loss on one part of outer shade (rear) and very bottom of cylinder in two spots. Works well. Made in the sixties and psychedelic, with words also appearing on and off. Bottle or shelf mounting options.

SoldPabst Blue Ribbon (1960's) (Samuelian Book Pg.208) This is a neat sconce wall hanging motion lamp. Bubbles float by as the spinner turns inside the antique style shade. Produced by Embossograph Display MFG. Co. Condition is very good to excellent.

Mateus White Rose Motion Lamp This is the actual lamp used to photograph for our book on page 204 center. Probably sixties vintage, this has dual blip patterns in the animation at top and bottom while words appear. Very good condition all around, with only a few small areas (mostly on rear side) where black paint loss shows. Works well.

Tia Maria Motion Lamp A rare lamp, this is the only one we have seen. Nice bottle of Tia Maria supports rotating shade that shows Jamaican beach. In excellent condition and working. Cord is original and factory wired through the bottle. About twenty inches tall and probably sixties vintage.

Johnnie Walker Red Motion Lamp Probably seventies vintage, this is the actual lamp used to photograph for our book on page 203 bottom. Has moving color blips and product name and words change color. In okay condition, with some wavering in shape of outer shade and areas of black paint loss. Could be touched up.

Hiram Walker Imperial Whiskey Barbershop Singers Display Motion Lamp In very good condition and complete (including a reproduction of the usually missing cardboard sign that fits on top). This lamp revolves to show words in window that are "sung" by the quartet. Hard to find in good shape. This one has some heat warping, so cylinder is not turning freely and must be carefully aligned. The price reflects this.
